Our Mission
“To facilitate marginalized groups and communities to influence government authorities and policy makers in formulation appropriate policies and implementation for ensuring self-reliance of communities and sustainable social development at grass root level”.
JIRFP is working and assist the needy and neglected people at grass root level and find access to sustain in the society with due dignity. Therefore JIRFP will take all necessary initiatives /measurer towards empowerment and self-determinations of community people enabling them to solve their own socio-economic problems by themselves towards poverty elevation.

Our Stretegy
To ensure rights of the indigenous peoples and bring them into the mainstream of development, JIRFP is working towards achieving the following objectives for the benefit of its target group i.e. the poor, socially and economically deprived people.
1. To play an active role in networking, coordination with other humanitarian organizations and stakeholders for ascertaining the basic rights of deprived communities for their self-reliance.
2. To improve quality of life of poor and disadvantaged rural groups and communities with focus on women and children protection.
3. Promote and provide access to quality formal basic education for children within deprived rural communities.
4. To contribute to bridge urban-rural gaps regarding social and economic development for ensuring justice based environment in the target areas.
5. To identify and initiate concrete steps for promotion of health services qualitatively and quantitatively.
6. To advocate with authorities and humanitarian organizations for ensuring cost effective and affordable access to basic human rights and to contribute towards national and international commitments.
7. To co-operate and assist in joint venture with stakeholders for addressing poverty and improving health related services provision to users.
8. To build the capacity of economically deprived people through skills development initiatives for their economic development and self-reliance.
9. To build the capacity and sensitize the target groups for their inclusion in decision making process for the sole purpose to help them get independent socially and economically. 10. To promote volunteerism in the target areas for sustainable social development and preservation of indigenous knowledge at grass root level.
11. To contribute for ensuring community resilience through preparedness, mitigation and precautionary measures against any calamity at the local and national level.
12. To join hands with other networks and humanitarian organizations for the rehabilitation and restoration of affected population and basic social services caused by any misadventure.
13. To protect environmental degradation and wild life with emphasis on climate change adaptation education both at community and governance level for ensuring wise management of natural resources.
KEY POLICY STEPS TOWARDS ACHIEVING OBJECTIVES
In striving to achieve the above objectives, JIRFP has adopted a number of policy steps and strategies some of which include:
Working in partnership with relevant governmental institutions and agencies, local (decentralised) political and administrative bodies and departments to initiate and implement development programmes and projects at the village level.
Working in close partnership with UN, INGO and international Donors to bring development to the rural poor, the needy and the disadvantaged in our target communities.
Promoting the concept of self-help among target communities in order for these to contribute towards their own development and social well-being.
Seeking innovative ways to raise funds both locally and internationally including partnerships with foreign donors and foreign development organisations, in support of JIRFP development programmes and projects.
Using microfinance as a tool for poverty alleviation and wealth creation and by that providing access to microcredits for poor rural households towards the promotion of income-generating activities while at the same time inculcating savings culture among the same target group.
Promotion of vocational and entrepreneurial training targeted at rural women towards the acquisition of self-employable skills for income-generation activities.
Incorporating HIV/AIDS prevention and related issues like Primary Health care in all of JIRFP’s development programmes and projects at the community level.
Developing and maintaining JIRFP as a professional quality organisation.
